Q: What exactly is an Independent pub crawl?

A: It’s a sightseeing meets pub crawl & quiz experience that you do on your own (or with your travel buddies), using our mobile web app as your guide. Instead of having a person lead you and a group around, you’ll follow a curated route on your phone. You’ll get an awesome night-out itinerary to explore Brno. But on your terms. It’s like having a personal tour guide in your pocket!

Q: How do I access the Independent tour after purchase?

A: Once you purchase, we’ll send you a unique link via email. Simply click that link on your smartphone, log in (you will receive the credentials via email as well), and you’re in! The link opens our web-based app with all the tour content. (No need to download a separate app.) If you ever lose the email, contact us, and we will resend the link.

Q: Do I need internet/data for the Independent crawl?

A: Yes, a mobile data connection is recommended. The web app uses online maps and updates, which need the internet to function fully. The data usage is very low (just loading maps and text). If you’re concerned about data, you can preload some content while on Wi-Fi, but you’ll want data during the walk for maps/GPS. Consider getting a local SIM or eSIM for the Czech Republic if you don’t have roaming. Many cafes and bars in Brno also offer free Wi-Fi if you need to connect briefly.

Q: What if I don’t have a smartphone?

A: The tour really works best with a smartphone for navigation. If one person in your group has a smartphone, that’s enough – you can share the guide. In a pinch, you could use a tablet or any device with a browser and GPS. But without a smart device, an Independent tour might not be feasible – in that case, a guided group tour could be a better option for you. Or contact us directly and we will find a way.

Q: We’re 2 people – can we join a larger guided pub crawl group?

A: If there is a guided pub crawl happening, definitely. But for two people or small groups, the Independent Pub Crawl is ideal – you’ll have a blast exploring on your own.

Q: What is your refund or cancellation policy?

A: For the Independent tour, if you haven’t activated/used your tour link yet, you can request a refund within 14 days of purchase – no questions asked. Once you start the tour (i.e., use the link to begin), refunds aren’t available (since you’ve received the content). For group tours, cancellations up to 4 calendar days before the event will get a full refund. Cancellation 3 calendar days or less before the event or no-show: no refund (100% cancellation / storno fee). In case something unexpected comes up, we will handle it on a case-by-case basis – just talk to us.

Q: Is there a time limit to complete the Independent pub crawl?

A: Not at all! You can start and pause as you wish. Technically, the link will remain active for several days once you begin, so you could even split the crawl into two nights if you want (though most people do it in one evening). The recommended route itself is about 3 hours of total fun (including drinks) if you go straight through, but there’s no expiration once you start. Take your time and enjoy.

Q: Are the pubs on the route open every day?

A: We selected pubs with consistent hours, generally open every day of the week until late. Typical Brno pub hours are from late afternoon (4–5 PM) until midnight or later, and bars often open even later. The Independent tour can be done any evening. If you do it on a Monday or Tuesday (quieter nights), the atmosphere will be more relaxed, but the venues should still be open. Friday and Saturday will be busier.

Q: Can we customize the Independent route or choose different bars?

A: The Independent experience is a fixed route (designed for the best experience). However, you are free to deviate – the app might not guide you to off-route places, but you can certainly make your own detours and then rejoin the route. For a fully custom experience, consider a Private Group Tour where we plan everything to your preferences.

Q: How do payments work? Is it safe to pay on your site?

A: Yes, it’s safe. Payments are handled via Revolut, which is a highly secure bank and global payment processor. Our website does not see or store your card data at all. You’ll get a receipt via email for your records. If you have any issue with payment, contact us and we can arrange an alternative.

Q: I have a promo code or gift voucher. How do I use it?

A: Great! On the checkout page, there will be a field to enter your promo code. Enter it there, and the discount will apply. If you have a gift voucher, please email us with the code (our system integration for vouchers is manual at the moment).

Q: We have more than 6 people, but fewer than 6 want to drink. Can we still do a private crawl?

A: Our pricing for private crawls is based on group size, not how many people drink. If you have non-drinkers, that’s absolutely fine – we can substitute their alcoholic drinks for non-alcoholic options. The cost per person remains the same since we still reserve spots and provide a guide for the whole group.
